Bedford Garden Club Announces Fall ScheduleSeptember 9, 2009
While September heralds the end of summer for some, The Bedford Garden Club maintains its focus on growth with programs throughout fall. On Sept. 17, a representative from Pettiti's Garden Center presents "Gardening with Bulbs". On Oct. 15, Jeff Griff, owner of Lowe's Greenhouse and Garden Center in Chagrin Falls, presents "Color in the Fall Garden". "Fooling Mother Nature" is set for Nov. 19. This program has Sue Cindric from Eagle Creek Garden Center demonstrating techniques in forcing bulbs in containers. These monthly programs are held Thursdays at 7:30 pm at Ellenwood Recreation Center, 124 Ellenwood Ave., Bedford. Call 440-439-8661 for information. In addition, The Garden Club will offer its renown herb mustard, as well as its soup mix, rosemary walnuts and other culinary specialties, at the Autumn Harvest Festival on Bedford Square, held October 3 at 10 am. to 4 pm. Proceeds help maintain Bedford's public gardens and greenspaces. Comments
