Bedford resident, Jean Turner, has been a member of The Cleveland Miniaturia Society for 32 years. When she heard about the club's 2009 theme, "The Year of The Mouse," she added a mouse to the Club's logo for 2009.

A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, she attended Kent State University & became certified as an Art teacher, and for 26 years taught art in the Bedford, Ohio school system. Since retiring in 1985, Jean enjoys her hobbies of quilting, cross-stitch, piano & organ, & especially creating miniature roombox scenes. She also does portrait commissions of client's cats & dogs.

To see Jean's unique talent creating miniature scenes, come to the Cleveland Miniaturia Society's 38th annual Show & Sale on Saturday, October 10 at the Don Umerley Civic Center/City Hall complex, 21016 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River, OH., from 10 am - 4 pm. Adults $5, Children $2, 5 & under free.

Grab life by the ears & bring your family to see the special mouse exhibit featuring mice in roombox settings for each of the twelve months of the year. There will be Club Displays, a dollhouse drawing, door prizes, Miniature dealers, plus vintage miniatures made by national artisans from the 1980's for sale - such as a Eugene J. Kupjack miniature storefront of Chicago's Thorne Rooms. Proceeds go to Achievement Center for Children's Camp Cheerful.
