Esperanza Threads Joins Hunger Relief EffortJune 15, 2009
Esperanza Threads, an organic clothing manufacturer located at 1160 Broadway in Bedford, just might be the best kept secret in North East Ohio. Founded in 2000 by Sister Mary Eileen Boyle O.S.U. as a project of the non-profit organization The Grassroots Coalition for Economic and Environmental Justice of Ohio, Esperanza Threads, has taken on another project, hunger relief. In 2007 a life-changing product, the Xango Goodness Meal Pack was introduced. It is a meal replacement program that is the first step out of starvation for those who have been without food for and extended period of time. Mixed with clean water the meal pack is an effective innovative product that helps strengthen those children who cannot properly digest solid food. To date over 590,150 meals have been delivered to orphanages in El Salvador, Zimbabwe,Haiti, Kenya, and Mynamar. For more information about Esperanza Threads call sister Mary Eileen at 440-786-9009. If you would like more information about the Goodness Hunger Relief project, call Teri Lange at 330-958-1730. Comments
