On May 3 at 10 a.m., come to the Southeast Library to learn how to develop your ideas and goals for your small business into a clear mission with a plan. An expert from WECO Fund, Inc., will show you how to create an effective business plan. Registration is requested for this program.

Mother's Day crafts planned
On May 9-10, drop in at the children's department at the library to make mom or grandma feel extra special this Mother's Day by creating a lovely gift for her to treasure. All materials will be supplied. This is intended for ages 12 and under.
Benefits check-up scheduled
Come to the Southeast Branch May 14 at 10 a.m. for your benefits check-up. This Web-based program, developed by the National Council on Aging, is for adults age 55 and over. By completing the benefits check-up with a specialist, you may identify assistance programs that can help you. It's fast, safe and free! Registration is required for this program.
Two book groups combine
On May 15 at 7 p.m. African American Authors and Thursday for Books will combine to present a special spring event.
The groups will discuss "Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, one of the great classics of modern literature.
The books will be available at the library throughout April.
Victorian Tea
On May 17 at 2 p.m. return to the world of Titanic in this fascinating program presented by Laura Loew of "Lost in the Past." From luxurious ball gowns to everyday apparel, Laura will take you on a journey to the past via the fashions worn by passengers on the ill-fated voyage.
Tea and pastries will be served following the presentation. Reservations are required for this program as space is limited.
