Band, orchestra plan April 25 fundraiser
Bedford High School band and orchestra students will conduct their annual Tag Day fundraiser to collect donations for their uniform fund April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Students in small groups will canvass Bedford, Bedford Heights, Oakwood and Walton Hills asking for donations. They can be identified by the band raincoats they wear and the collection cans they carry. A parent will accompany each group.
"We would like to thank the community for their generous ongoing support of our band and orchestra students," said director Shawn Nichols.
The fundraiser is conducted annually to build funds to purchase new band uniforms in the future. Uniforms were last bought in 1998 at a cost of around $60,000.
