Bedford Heights -- The manager of a Richmond Road company reported that an unidentified man whom he tried to help ended up stealing $100 from the business.
The manager said the man entered the business Feb. 4 and asked to borrow $30 because his vehicle had broken down on Richmond Road and he needed to have it towed. The manager gave him $30 from the company's cash box.
Three days later the man returned, saying he wanted to repay the manager using a $100 bill in his car, if the manager would make change for it.
The manager gave the man $70 from the company cash box and followed the man out to his car.
But the man got into his vehicle and drove away with the $70, without giving the manager any money.
The manager described the vehicle as black.
