Police News: Woman said she received death threats from man over the phone

Bedford Heights -- A Rockside Road woman said she has been receiving death threats. The woman told police that she received two calls Feb. 5 at home.

The caller threatened to kill her.

Police told the woman to contact her phone service and request a trace be put on her line. They also advised her to contact them if she received any more calls.

The woman described a possible suspect to officers, and police are investigating.

Damaged property

Feb. 7. Window smashed: A Columbia Drive woman reported that someone smashed the back window of her 2006 Chevy Blazer overnight while it was parked in front of her house. Nothing was missing.

Theft from auto

Feb. 5. Catalytic converter stolen: A Bear Creek Drive woman reported that the catalytic converter was taken from her 1999 Jeep while it was parked in the parking lot of her apartment complex. Value of the theft is unknown. Police are investigating.

Auto theft

Feb. 5. Car stolen: A Northfield Road man reported that someone stole his 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra from the parking lot of his apartment. He said the vehicle had been locked. Value of the vehicle is unknown.

Theft from auto

Feb. 6. A Flora Drive woman reported that her insurance card was stolen from the glove compartment of her Chevy Impala. The woman said the vehicle had been unlocked in her driveway.

When she went out to her car, she found the contents of her glove compartment strewn over the passenger seat. The only thing missing was the insurance card.
