Bedford " The two incumbents running for the Bedford Board of Education were successful in the Nov. 6 general election.
Final but unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections showed incumbents Barbara Patterson
and Joe Mestnik defeated challenger Antoinette Cobb for the two expiring seats on the Board.
Patterson said prior to the final results being announced that she did not want to start celebrating until the vote was final.
"I don't want to count my chickens before they are hatched," she said. "But I do feel good about the results so far."
Mestnik also said he was encouraged by the vote at the time.
"We have a lot of work to do in this district," Mestnik said. "Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to continue serving people in the district and to make sure that the schools are headed in the right direction."
Cobb did not return calls for comment.
