According to final but unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections,
Ward 1 incumbent Barbara MacKenzie
defeated Lloyd Anderson, receiving 52.9 percent of the vote.

"I was ahead earlier in the evening and then my votes fell short," he said. "I'm just going to wait and see what happens."
In Ward 3, incumbent Alton Tinker defeated challenger Trish Duncan with 61.7 percent of the vote.
"I am grateful that the residents of Ward 3 voted to keep me as their representative," Tinker said. ;I am happy to know that, as an incumbent, the voters believe I am doing an adequate job. Now we on Council need to focus on working together for the betterment
of the community."
