WHERE: Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure, located at Malls B & C in downtown Cleveland
Thousands of people across the country have already experienced the Visions of Hope exhibit. Now it comes to Cleveland to help educate your community about breast health.
Visitors are encouraged to take a "swing" at the pink punching bag to represent the fight against breast cancer. For each swing, AstraZeneca will donate $1, up to $5,000, to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Northeast Ohio Affiliate.
Visitors are encouraged to experience Visions of Hope, an interactive exhibit. The journey includes
A photo station that allows participants to pose with their family and friends for a "finish line photo," a personalized memento of the 2007 race
A model breast to practice detecting lumps and learn what to be aware of when performing breast self-exams
Valuable information on breast cancer, including the history of breast cancer advances, detection, and treatment options
A microscope to view healthy and cancerous cells
An opportunity to share pictures and words of hope and encouragement in the fight against breast cancer
The exhibit is free to the public and will be open on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 6:30 a.m. " 12:00 p.m. at the Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure, located at Malls B & C in downtown Cleveland
