Golden Wedding Anniversary

Bob and Joy (Cross) Oldcorn are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on September 7, 2007.
They will be renewing their vows for the 3rd time in the new home they moved in 3 weeks ago right here in Bedford.
Bob grew up on the west side of Cleveland and Joy grew up in Northfield Center, Ohio
They met in Jacksonville,North Carolina July of 1956 when Bob 18 yrs old and in the Marines and Joy was 16 yrs old and visiting her sister,Joy laid eyes on Bob for the first time at her sisters front door and told her sister she was going to marry that man out there.They dated for a little over a year and married the following September.
Looks to me like it was love at first sight!
We ask them what the secret to such a long marriage?
Bobs answer: love and togetherness.
Joys answer:love,helping one another and corresponence.
Bob and Joy resided in Streetsboro for the past 28 years.
Bob is a retired truck driver of 30 years with Hamilton Trucking in Bedford, Ohio and was also a volenteer fireman and EMT-A when they lived in Northfield Center for almost 20 years and Joy is and has been a housewife and mother for the past 50 years.
They worship together at Calvary Community in Twinsburg.
Celebrating the special occasion with them will be their 3 children and spouses,8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren along with a host of friends and relatives.
