Name: Kathleen Lynch
Age: 29
Family: Daughter, Reilly, 7.
Occupation: Council Clerk for the city of Bedford
Lives in: Berea but grew up in Bedford
How would you describe Bedford to someone who has never been there? It's a quaint old community where everyone knows you.
What did you do before you started your new position at Bedford City Hall? I worked as a probation officer for Bedford Municipal Court for 10 years.
Hobbies? I am an avid sports fan. My father, Joe Lynch, was once Bedford's recreation director and he coached basketball for 30 years, so my family was always interested in all kinds of sports, both college and professional.
Favorite book? My favorite book is "A Separate Peace." I read it every few years.
Favorite movie? My favorite movie is probably "Remember the Titans."
What is your biggest accomplishment? Raising my daughter. I had her shortly after my mom passed away and she was just such a blessing in disguise. I am very proud of her.
What kinds of things do you like to do with your daughter? She is very interested in art and very good at art class. I am impressed because I have no artistic talent whatsoever. I take her to a lot of pottery and ceramics places and the stuff she makes is always much better than mine.
What are your future goals? In the court I always enjoyed working with the residents of Bedford and I can still do that in my new position, just in a different capacity.
