Kathleen Vimr, of Bedford Heights, and Jimmie Rich Jr., of Ann Arbor, Mich., were married Jan. 27, 2007.
She is the daughter of Gary and Sandy Vimr. He is the son of Richard and Shirley Smith.
The wedding took place at the Terrace Club at Jacobs Field. "That was Jimmie's idea," Sandy Vimr said. "He really likes the Cleveland Indians. In fact, the Indians' mascot, Slider, walked the parents down the aisle."
The matron of honor was Barb Gulledge, a friend of the bride since first grade. The bridesmaids were Linda Vimr, sister of the bride, Nichole Schell, cousin of the bride, and Maryellen Skora, friend of the bride.
The best man was Eric Miller, a childhood friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Brian Blevins and Bob Blevins, friends of the groom, and Rich Lenczewski, a friend of the bride and groom. Mike Vimr was an usher.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
She graduated from Trinity High School in 1995 and also attended Eastern Michigan University for five years. She is a teacher at Hope Academy in Cleveland. He works for Coca-Cola in Cleveland. They live in Maple Heights.
