This is in regards to the April 29 article, "City OKs incentive for tanning booth-maker move," and what I saw as narrow-minded quotes from Macedonia Councilor Shane Barker and Mayor Don Kuchta and what I feel is a bribe to move a Solon company to Macedonia. Northeast Ohio, in fact the entire state of Ohio, is economically depressed and has been for many years. This isn't due to the current recession, it's due to narrow-minded politicians raising taxes, increasing unnecessary regulatory legislation and driving thriving companies to Nevada, Texas and everywhere except Ohio. Meanwhile, Macedonia wants to quibble over $100,000 with Solon. Our entire region has to work together for the benefit of Northeast Ohio and Ohio in general. Let's not take away $100,000 from Solon, let's make our Ohio pie bigger and bring in $1,000,000 each for Solon and Macedonia. Frank Evan Northfield Center Comments
