Church cancels
meal program

The Northfield Presbyterian Church Community Meal will be suspended until further notice due to water damage in the facility. The church normally offers a free meal on the fourth Friday of the month.

Rummage for deals at Northfield Presbyterian

The Northfield Presbyterian Women's Association plans its annual Rummage Sale May 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. The sale will close with a $4 bag sale beginning at 2 p.m.

Northfield Presbyterian Church is located at 7755 S. Boyden Road.

Methodist seminar
offers help

The United Methodist Church of Macedonia will offer an eight-week seminar titled "Surviving the Storm." The first session was April 19.

The seminar will be taught by a visitation minister, the Rev. Dale R. Turner.

This course is designed "for those who have suffered loss or feel let down, are wondering what the Bible teaches about life after death, feel alone or depressed, would like to be a part of a study group, or have lost a loved one in death."

Meeting time is every Sunday morning, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the church.

Childcare is provided, and coffee, juice and donuts will be served.

Attend a revival
at the Hilton

All churches, pastors, worship teams and youth groups are welcome to attend "In His Presence" from 2 to 6:30 p.m. May 17 in the Wilcox Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn, 8971 Wilcox Drive. Guest speakers will be Pastors Brian and Jennifer Beittel from Pratt, Kansas, at the First Assembly of God. The worship band "Sanctified" will perform. The event is free. The host church will be Christian Spirit Tabernacle, pastors Paul and Bonnie Delp presiding.

Study the Bible
at Parkside

Men's and Women's Studies in the Psalms are conducted in the Fellowship Hall at Parkside Church. Men's studies are Mondays at 7:30 p.m., and Thursdays at 6:30 a.m. Women's studies are Tuesdays at 7 p.m., and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Childcare is provided on Thursdays. All are welcome. Books and materials cost $15. Parkside, at 7100 Pettibone Road in Chagrin Falls, is a bible-teaching, non-denominational church. Senior Pastor is the Rev. Alistair Begg.

Gospel House
lines up events

The Gospel House Church, 14707 Alexander Road in Walton Hills, will have a Grandparents, Parents and Friend Night May 1 at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Children and teens will provide ministry, and there will be music, entertainment and refreshments.

The church also will take part in the National Day of Prayer May 7. The church sanctuary will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for prayer. A special prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.

On May 17, the church will take part in Rolling Thunder's tribute to veterans, the "Run to the Wall." Motorcyclists and vehicle drivers can meet at the Sam's Club parking lot on Broadway Avenue on Oakwood at 8 a.m. The procession leaves at 9 a.m. A picnic will follow the service in the church Youth Center. Participants are asked to bring a dish to share.

First Congregational sets fashion show, tea

The Women's Fellowship of the First Congregational Church of Twinsburg will host "From House Dresses to Bridal Gowns: Fashion Through the Years," at 2 p.m. May 17 at 9050 Church Street in Twinsburg. A "ladies tea" will follow the vintage fashion show. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger. Solon church hosts spring fashion show

Attend the annual spring luncheon May 2 at 11:30 a.m. at Solon Community Church. A sit-down lunch will be followed by a fashion show conducted by Legacy Village retailers Christoper and Banks.
