Schools Foundation sponsoring golf outing
The 11th Annual Nordonia Golf Outing will be May 30 at Raccoon Hill Golf Course in Kent. This year's outing is being sponsored by the Nordonia Schools Foundation. Proceeds from the event benefit the annual scholarship fund and the teacher mini-grant program. Cash donations will be individually acknowledged on the day of the event. The event will be a four-person scramble format. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. A shotgun start will be at 8:30 a.m. A steak dinner sponsored by Outback Steakhouse is at 1 p.m. The cost is $95 per person, or $380 per team if paid by May 8. The cost will be $100 per person, or $400 per team after May 8. The cost includes greens fees, cart, dinner and skill prizes. 'Hack' away to support hockey team
The Nordonia Hockey Association plans its seventh annual Hack-O-Rama Golf Outing June 6 starting at 8 a.m. at the Mayfair Country Club, 2229 Raber Road in Green.
The four-person scramble event benefits the Knights varsity ice hockey team.
The cost is $85 per person and includes a breakfast buffet at 7 a.m., 18 holes of golf, golf cart, free door prizes, awards for closest pin shot and longest drive, lunch and dinner. There also will be an optional skins game and 50/50 raffle.
Entry forms and payment are due May 16.
