Oakwood -- A Sagamore Hills man who led police on a 13-mile chase through five communities March 1 pleaded guilty March 25 to one count of reckless operation and received a $471 fine.

Adam Milewski, 24, had charges of misdemeanor fleeing and eluding, and driving with no lights after dark dismissed against him, according to officials with the Oakwood Mayor's Court.

A court official said a criminal damaging charge also was dismissed against Milewski, but that he will be assessed a $75 charge for the cost of damage to a police cruiser during the chase.

Court officials said Milewski did not receive any jail time and his license was not suspended.

Neither Milewski nor an attorney representing him could be reached for comment.

Oakwood police arrested Milewski following a pursuit that began when village police attempted to stop a minivan Milewski was driving at Broadway Avenue and Macedonia Road around 8 p.m. that did not have on its headlights.

The chase went through Twinsburg and ended in Mantua off Route 82, after the minivan became undriveable with tires flattened by police stop sticks, according to Twinsburg Lt. Robert Gonsiewski. At one point during the pursuit when a roadblock had been set up, police said Milewski "pushed a cruiser out of the way" with the minivan he was driving.

There were no injuries reported.
