Northfield Presbyterian Church is hosting a presentation of "Twelve Seats at the Table," a dramatic reenactment of the "The Last Supper" -- the last evening Jesus was to celebrate the Passover meal with his disciples. This drama, which will be presented April 9 at 7:30 p.m., provides the opportunity to meet the disciples as real people -- 12 men with different backgrounds and different reasons for following Jesus, each with their doubts, questions, and agendas for Jesus and his mission. The community is invited to hear from each disciple as he tries to explain why he has chosen to leave behind his life and to follow this Jesus of Nazareth. The audience is invited to imagine being at the table with Christ and, as part of this worship experience, will have the opportunity to join Jesus and the disciples in the breaking of bread and the pouring of wine, the celebration now called "communion." The cast is lead by Chris Fenn as Jesus and the Rev. Art Helin as the narrator Nicodemus. The 12 disciples include the following members and friends of the congregation: Steve Brooks, Dave Cavanaugh, Rich Enczur, Phil Helin, John Jackson, Stephen Kinsack, Tim Maholm, Keith Miller, Gil Polcen, Dwayne Smith, Jack Stitt and Scott Williamson.
