Clam bake set
The Twinsburg Church of Christ is invites the community to a clam bake Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. Each bake includes 12 clams, clam chowder, chicken, sweet potato, more sides, a selection of desserts and fellowship. Evangelist Ken McDonald will be visiting Bible Believer's Baptist Church from Oct. 12 to 15. McDonald has been traveling to churches across the United States preaching his testimony of how God's Word can change one's life even when circumstances look bleak. The community is invited to hear how God's Word can strengthen and encourage one in one's daily life. Area families are also invited to attend a Sunday school class at Bible Believers Baptist Church. Sunday school begins each week at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m. Classes are offered for children from ages 2 to adult. The adult class is taught by the Rev. Richard Kipp. Students will be taught from the authorized King James Bible stories and subjects regarding Creation, Noah's Ark, Moses and the Ten Commandments, Jesus' earthly ministry, Salvation, the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as other topics which appear in the scriptures. For questions, call 330-467-0419. Hay ride outing set Liberty Valley Church will have a "Fall-o-ween Jesus" on a hayride and corn maze at May's Farm in Randolph Oct. 17. Moms-In-Touch, International is an organization consisting of groups of women who pray for their local schools. The Nordonia Hills area has had a group actively praying for the school district for the past 12 years. The group meets once a week for an hour of prayer and invites area women who share in this common desire to intercede for the schools to join. The group meets on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Western Reserve Grace Brethren Church. The church is located at 1066 East Aurora Road in Macedonia, across from the credit union and Auto Zone. Faith Fellowship Church, in cooperation with Hosanna Bible Training Center, will offer the biblical course, Typology and Tabernacle, an in-depth study of the Tabernacle, the priesthood and the offerings as outlined by God in the Book of Exodus. The course is designed to bring clarity and a deeper understanding of Christ "types," while maintaining close adherence to the scriptures and avoiding over-spiritualization. The Rev. Kathie Kuhn will conduct weekly classes on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., in the church's lower level through Nov. 19. The course fee is $20, plus the $18 cost of the book, if desired.
