Walk for health, technology funds at St. Martin's

Students in kindergarten through eighth grade at Saint Martin of Tours School in Maple
Heights, along with teachers and parent volunteers will participate in the school's 15th
annual Walkathon on Friday.October 3. The goal of the Walkathon is to collect pledges
and raise funds for the school's technology program and help with field trips. It will be a
day to promote school spirit and be filled with healthy exercise and fun.

Kindergarten will walk 2 miles; first and second grade will walk 3 miles,third and
fourth grades will walk 4 miles and fifth through eighth grade will walk 5 miles throughout
the school neighborhood.

Other events are planned throughout the day. Students will select and decorate a
pumpkin from the "pumpkin patch", enjoy a juice drink and an Arby's lunch, and celebrate in
the afternoon with music provided by Firehouse Rock for a variety of games, dances and
activities.

The theme this year is "FROGS",(FAITHFULLY RELY ON GOD ). We will be
wearing green for FROGS as well as "going green" for the environment! This is going to
be a wonderful and exciting day of fun for everyone. Please come and join us and take lots
