JAMES NORTON

Korean War veteran

Services were Aug. 19 at Johnson Romito Funeral Home for Macedonia resident James Norton. The Rev. Larry S. Hukill officiated.

Mr. Norton, 77, died Aug. 13, 2008, at Aurora Manor in Aurora.

Mr. Norton was employed by Ford Motor Co. as a shipping clerk. He served in the U.S. Army, then in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Mr. Norton was the son of James D. Norton and Erma L. (Schaefer) Norton; brother of Bruce Norton, deceased, Angelina Briggs, and Ruth Lehman and Jerri (Jerry) Threlkeld, both of Angola, Ind.; husband of Helen E. (nee Melone) Norton; and father of Deborah N. DeSantis, Linda S. (Terry) Denton, both of Northfield, J. David (April) Norton of Uniontown, and Paul E. (Melissa) Norton of Bedford. He had 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Twinsburg.
