Glendale School hosts
What can parents do to help their child get ready to learn? How can children learn through play? What are the ways to determine if a child is developing on schedule? The answers to these and many other questions will be addressed at the Glendale Preschool Fair, which will be conducted May 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Glendale Primary School, 400 West Glendale Ave., Bedford. It is intended for families in the Bedford City Schools with children age 5 and under. Activities include games, prizes, entertainment and refreshments. Teachers and administrators from the Bedford City Schools will offer tips to help preschool children learn through play. There will be information about child development, free developmental screenings and information about the Bedford Schools' Bright Beginnings Preschool Program. Reservations are required. The Maple Heights Senior Center is taking a group of seniors to watch the Lake County Captains baseball team May 21 for a 12:05 p.m. game. Tickets are $11 and include a box seat and food voucher. Call 216-587-5481. Dining directories
