The musical "Damn Yankees" will get a Tribe twist at Carousel Dinner Theatre.

Carousel rewrites this "All American" musical based on America's favorite pastime, with the Cleveland Indians versus those Damn Yankees with an all-star lineup of Broadway stars and NYC actors portraying the actual 1958 team. Winner of seven Tony Awards in 1955, the musical includes the songs "Whatever Lola Wants (Lola Gets)," "Those Were the Good Old Days" and "Shoeless Joe." The production opens April 30 and plays through June 28.

Middle-aged baseball fanatic, Joe Boyd, sells his soul to the devil to become a young baseball player in hopes of leading the Cleveland Indians, to an American League pennant victory. Selling his soul and leaving his wife to be the player his team needs causes Joe do to some serious thinking about his true desires, which may not be what he thought. Seductress Lola pulls out all the stops in an attempt to keep Joe from breaking his pact with the Devil through an escape clause.

The cast features Broadway veterans Jim Corti as Mr. Applegate (the Devil) and Ashlee Fife as Lola. Director and choreographer will be Marc Robin.
