April 24 -- St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Ave., Bedford, will host a Medicare seminar from 3 to 5 p.m. Guest speaker Rebecca Hayward, of Columbus, will discuss predatory sales practices and give further explanation of OSHIP. Up-to-date Medicare information will be presented. There is no admission fee. There will be a refreshment break at 4 p.m. For more information, call 440-232-1155.

April 25 -- Members of the Bedford Garden Club and students of Holy Spirit Academy in Bedford invite people to join them at an annual Arbor Day tree planting event at 10 a.m. at Bedford City Hall, 165 Center Road.

April 25 -- Bedford High School band and orchestra students will conduct their annual Tag Day fundraiser to collect donations for their uniform fund from 6 to 8 p.m. Students will canvass the neighborhoods in small groups in Bedford, Bedford Heights, Oakwood and Walton Hills asking for donations. They can be identified by the band raincoats they wear and the collection cans they carry. A parent will accompany each group. The Tag Day fundraiser is conducted annually to build funds to purchase new band uniforms in the future. Uniforms were last bought in 1998 at a cost of around $60,000.

April 26 -- The eighth-grade class of St. Martin of Tours School in Maple Heights will conduct a car wash fundraiser at the Marathon service station, 17975 Alexander Road, Walton Hills, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The car wash is free or by donation with proceeds going toward the students' upcoming graduation.

April 26 -- Bedford Co-Op Nursery School will host "Truck Day" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Bedford City Hall, 165 Center Road, Bedford. At Truck Day, a community event, local businesses will display "big trucks" like construction vehicles and fire trucks for preschoolers and truck lovers of all ages to see up close. Admission is free and proceeds from the concession stand will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. For more information, call 440-232-4712.

April 30 -- The Bedford Arts and Cultural Board will meet at 7 p.m. at Bedford City Hall, 165 Center Road, Bedford.
