Lenten fish fry season begins Lenten fish fry season at area locations is under way. The schedule includes: * American Legion Post 309, 15521 Broadway Ave., Maple Heights, will conduct fish fries each Friday through March 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. Selections include fish, shrimp and combo dinners with a choice of French fries, macaroni and cheese, or cabbage and noodles. Dinners come with cole slaw, rolls and butter. Dine-in and take-out orders are available. For more information, call 216-662-7768. * Holy Trinity Church, 24821 Columbus Road, Bedford Heights, will conduct fish fries each Friday through March 14 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The menu includes fish, shrimp, combo meals, macaroni and cheese, pierogi, cole slaw, applesauce, various soups and dessert. There are sit-down dinners, a la carte items and carry-out. For more information, call 440-232-2044. * St. Andrew Church on Maple Park Drive in Maple Heights is planning fish fries on Feb. 22, March 7 and 21, and April 4 and 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. Selections include crispy cod with pierogi or French fries, pierogi dinners, shrimp dinners or combos. Take-out is available. For more information, call 216-475-9365. * St. Mary Church, 300 Union St., Bedford, will conduct its fish fries each Friday through March 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu includes fish, shrimp, clams, pierogi, cabbage and noodles, and macaroni & cheese. Jazzercise classes will be taught at the Jimmy Dimora Community Center, 5615 Perkins Road, Bedford Heights. The one-hour classes will be conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 9:15 a.m. Jazzercise combines elements of dance, resistance training, Pilates and kickboxing. The cost includes a one-time sign-up fee of $25. Bedford Heights residents pay $32 a month or $80 for an eight-week program.
