'Operation Baby' under way
at First United Methodist Church in Bedford

"Operation Baby," which intends to give all military families help with a handmade baby seabag -- full of everything they need to start them off with their new baby -- is under way.

The United Methodist Women's Association and USO are giving an annual baby shower Jan. 27 at noon at First United Methodist Church, 79 Center Road, Bedford.

Items needed include diapers, bibs, bottles, wipes, new clothes, blankets, bath soap, baby powder, lotion, toys, rattles, pacifiers and pacifier holders. They can be dropped off at the church Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and marked "Operation Baby."

Gifts should not be wrapped. Cash is also welcome.

For more information, call the church office at 440-232-3131.
