Ferraras will celebrate golden anniversary

MARTIN AND MARY LOU FERRARA

Martin and Mary Lou Ferrara of Maple Heights will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 24.

Martin grew up in Bedford while the former Mary Lou Herman grew up in Bedford Heights.

They met while both worked for the A&P grocery store. Martin was an A&P store manager. Currently, he is the frozen foods manager at Dave's Supermarket.

They have seven children -- Marty, who lives in Maple Heights, Mike (Independence), Maria (Shalersville), Ron (Maple Heights), Darren (Avon), Andy (Sagamore Hills) and Lisa (Streetsboro).

They have 15 grandchildren -- Marty Jr., Michelle, Mike Jr., Alex, Nicole, Robert Jr., Ronnie Jr., Samantha, Matthew, Alexandria, Adam, Autumn, Andrew, Cara and Hannah.

They also have a dog, Brandy.
