Open swim time
The Bedford Recreation Department, in cooperation with the Bedford City Schools, will again offer an open swim time from now through March. It will be at the Bedford High School pool each Monday and Thursday evening through March from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sign-ups for this program will be the Ellenwood Center, 124 Ellenwood Ave., Bedford, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. The cost for this activity will be $10 for Bedford residents and $15 for all non-residents. Spring soccer
The Bedford Recreation Department will be scheduling sign-ups for the spring youth soccer program through the end of February. This is a co-recreational program for boys and girls ages 5-14. Sign-ups will be held at Ellenwood Center Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents. AARP senior tax help
Volunteers from AARP will be at Ellenwood Center on Tuesdays from Feb. 6 to April 10 from 9 a.m. to noon to assist Bedford area seniors with their taxes. This service is provided free of charge to all seniors 60 years of age or older, but you must call 440-735-6573 and make an appointment with the volunteers. No walk-in appointments can be scheduled.
